Auchenharvie 88 Handicap Counter Competitions from Saturday 25th July

Auchenharvie 88 Handicap Counter Competitions from Saturday 25th July

From Saturday 25th July the club will be re-introducing handicap counting competitions.

The club committee have been observing all recent actions from our members, the R&A, Local Ayrshire Clubs, The Government and KA Leisure, and now feel it is safe to do so

The reasoning for this decision:

1. It appears that there is healthy appetite throughout our membership base for this.

2. With various restrictions being lifted during the COVID19 pandemic it has been agreed that we can safely re-introduce handicap counting competitions.

3. Our members have all got on board with the new scorecard submission system.

4. In line with the introduction of the World Golf Handicapping system it is in the best interest of our members and our club, to have as much data available to calculate accurate player handicaps for the 2021 season. Data is defined as “Rounds Played”

Points Of Note:

All competitions and Tee Times/Ballots will now be run via MasterScoreboard.

You will be able to view competition results and ballots in the way you were used to before the COVID19 Pandemic, by logging into MasterScoreboard.

All competitions have been updated via MasterScoreboard from Saturday 25th July – Saturday 3rd October 2020.

Scorecards will still need submitted electronically using any of the methods outlined on the Summer League rules sheet.

Still no Sweep Money will change hands at this time.

Playing handicap’s will start from where they finished at the end of the 2019 season. If you have received a cut during the summer league this will be reset. This only affects a few players.

The summer league will still run until the end of the 2020 season. All scores and handicaps will now come from MasterScoreboard.

If you have any questions regarding the information in this announcement please speak with any member of the committee or the Match Secretary, Bryan McCandless 07932028395
